Reports are coming in that a few lucky gamers have been able to get their hands on copies of Rockstar’s upcoming blockbuster, GTA IV, already. The game is not set to release officially until next week.
The game, which happens to be their first in the ‘next-gen’ era, has also appeared on several mod community sites for illegal download. There is much doubt, however, if it will even put a small dent in the massive amount of sales Grand Theft Auto IV will generate.
Although, Microsoft is looking into the gamercards/accounts, who list the game as having been previously played, the remaining fans can only sit and wait in envy as the final few days before GTA IV’s midnight release approaches.

The word on the street is that the next installment in Rockstar’s successful “Grand Theft Auto” franchise will be hitting gamers hands this April. Originally expected last year, GTAIV will be the series’ first entry in the “next-gen” console arena.
On a sidenote, “one of the contributing factors” to the delays turned out to be getting the game running up to par on Sony’s Playstation 3 console, according to Rockstar’s Jeronimo Barrera.
