Dreamgirls racking in the awards

Starpulse.com is reporting that the movie musical Dreamgirls has picked up a couple of awards from the FAAAF.
“Movie musical Dreamgirls walked away with six prizes at the Foundation For The Advancement Of African-Americans In Film’s (FAAAF) Black Reel Awards today, including Best Film. “Dreamgirls” also won Best Supporting Actress and Best Breakthrough Performance for Jennifer Hudson, Best Original Score, Best Original Soundtrack and Best Song for “And I’m Telling You.” The film had set a new record by becoming the first movie to land more than 10 nominations in the event’s 11-year history.”
The film has an all-star African-American cast and is already on track to gather up some wins at this year’s Academy Awards.

On a side note, Beyonce Knowles is really making noise in the entertainment industry lately with her new album, her role in Dreamgirls, and being named the Most Desirable Woman of 2007 by Askmen.
