Gears of War free theme and maps available
Epic released a free theme and map pack for their blockbuster Gears of War onto XBLM today. The free content is being sponsored by the Discovery Channel.
“Discovery Channel FUTUREWEAPONS gives you Raven Down and Old Bones: A Raven helicopter has gone down in the middle of a large-scale battle. Gears have taken out a Seeder, and forces are now moving into the crash site from all angles to find survivors.Old Bones: In an attempt to eradicate human culture, the Locust have emerged under Sera’s Capitaline Museums and have started destroying them brick by brick.”
The downloads are available everywhere except Germany, which I believe has refused to rate the game.
I’ve yet to try the online multiplayer of Gears simply because none of my close friends have a Xbox 360 yet. However, I will say that the single player is a fantastic ride and a graphical masterpiece and I look forward to getting into the multiplayer arena soon.
