Sophia Anna Bush (born July 8, 1982) is an American actress. She is perhaps best known for her role as as Brooke Davis in the CW series One Tree Hill.

Born and raised in Pasadena, California, Bush attended Westridge School for Girls (Pasadena) and the University of Southern California and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, where she served as Social Chair. She attended USC for three years before getting the role of Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill (2003). In 2000 she was the Tournament of Roses Parade Queen.

An only child, her father is Charles William Bush, one of the top advertising and celebrity photographers working in the United States today, while her mother, Maureen Bush, is a photography studio manager.

Career

Bush made her first big screen appearance in the comedy Van Wilder as Sally. Since then, she has made appearances in several television shows including Nip/Tuck, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and Punk’d after being tricked by her friend Brittany Snow.

She was cast as Kate Brewster in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines but was replaced by Claire Danes as the director thought she was too young.

In 2003 she won the role of Brooke Davis in One Tree Hill. The show is one of “The WB” networks biggest hits & is imported all around the world. It was here she met future husband Chad Michael Murray.

Since working on OTH Sophia has filmed 3 box office movies. Supercross, Stay Alive and John Tucker Must Die.

She started work on The Hitcher in 2006.

Personal life

On April 16, 2005, Bush married her One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray, but the couple announced their separation on September 26 after only five months of marriage. Bush sought an annulment (citing “fraud”) in February 2006.

Bush spoke of the breakup in the February 2006 issue of the teen magazine CosmoGIRL!, stating “I can’t say there are no hard feelings… I feel hurt, humiliated and broken hearted.” She did not go into details about the break-up, but stated that she was shocked at the accuracy of some of the reports about the reasons for the split (reports which include allegations that Murray cheated on her with Paris Hilton and his former highschool sweetheart, Brittney Boynton).

   Sophia deserves so much better than Chad even tho he z hot!! E suld nva av treated her in dat way and she is a role model for young girls today. she is a credit to her family bt its a pity we cant say the same for Paris Hilton!! P.S. Go Brucas!xx
