Gears of War free theme and maps available
Epic released a free theme and map pack for their blockbuster Gears of War onto XBLM today. The free content is being sponsored by the Discovery Channel. I've yet to try the online multiplayer of Gears simply because none of my close friends have a Xbox 360 yet. However, I will say that the single player is a fantastic ride and a graphical masterpiece.

The promised update for Epic's Gears of War is now available on Xbox Live. Gamers logging online into the game will be prompted to download the new patch. There's been some rumblings about the patch lately concerning the removal of host names within the lobby search. I see it as a improved deterent towards cheating and team stacking.
