We don't know if it's an accident or misprint but it's worth noting that a release date has been posted for Bioware's Mass Effect on the Australian Xbox website. According to the site, Mass Effect will be available on May 18, 2007. Are you anxiously awaiting this all new RPG adventure from Bioware? Do you think that Mass Effect is the best use of the Unreal Engine 3 to date? full story

Epic released a free theme and map pack for their blockbuster Gears of War onto XBLM today. The free content is being sponsored by the Discovery Channel. I've yet to try the online multiplayer of Gears simply because none of my close friends have a Xbox 360 yet. However, I will say that the single player is a fantastic ride and a graphical masterpiece. full story

The promised update for Epic's Gears of War is now available on Xbox Live. Gamers logging online into the game will be prompted to download the new patch. There's been some rumblings about the patch lately concerning the removal of host names within the lobby search. I see it as a improved deterent towards cheating and team stacking. full story

Have no fear, Halo fanatics! Bungie and Microsoft announced today that there are two new ways (as oppose to being lucky enough to be accepted thru the normal beta registration at Halo3.com) to get into the Halo 3 multiplayer beta. One requires trying to register again at Halo3.com after spending a specific amount of time playing Halo 2 online. full story

Bungie, the company behind the successful Halo franchise, has released it's latest vidoc (video documentary) onto the Xbox Live marketplace today. The video details the redefined role Brutes, a covenant species that was introduced in Halo 2, will play in the upcoming Xbox 360 game, Halo 3. The video can be downloaded from the XBLM for free. full story
