The Apple IPhone is almost here

Apple's new toy, the IPhone, is almost ready to hit the retail store shelves. I can already hear the rumblings of hundreds of Apple consumers bursting through the doors of their local Apple stores in search the new phone that's an IPod... that's a video player... that's a web browser... that's basically going to print tons of money for Apple.

Corinne Bailey Rae is the Cure

Rae's various backgrounds have cultivated a much needed change for the music scene. She has created soulful sounds ranging from acoustic guitars to hip hop beats -- a variation of which makes her music so much more enjoyable. These musical variations manifest themselves on her self-titled album which was released back in February of 2006.

Christina Aguilera at the Grammys

I've said it before and I'll say it again: This girl can really sing! (unlike some entertainers who shall remain nameless). We tracked down a Youtube.com video of Christina Aguilera's outstanding James Brown tribute at the 2007 Grammy Awards. Props to Aguilera for her successful rendition of a very difficult song.

Blunt, T.I., Blige & Ludacris performing at Grammys

James Blunt, T.I. and Earth, Wind and Fire along with Mary J. Blige and Ludacris are scheduled to perform this year at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. The performance will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles this Sunday (February 11th, 2007) at 8:00-11:30 PM eastern on CBS.

Dreamgirls racking in the awards

Starpulse.com is reporting that the movie musical Dreamgirls has picked up a couple of awards from the Foundation For The Advancement Of African-Americans In Film's (FAAAF). The film has an all-star African-American cast and is already on track to gather up some wins at this year's Academy Awards.

Brandy being sued for $50 million!

NationalLedger.com is reporting that R&B singer Brandy, who's full name is Brandy Norwood, is being sued for $50 million in a lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Do you think the family of the deceased has a right to sue the singer if it truly was an accident and no amount of money will bring their daughter back?

Rae, Mayer, and Legend together at the Grammys

The Recording Academy announced that Corinne Bailey Rae, John Mayer and John Legend will perform together on the 49th annual Grammy Awards. The music industry's premier event will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 11, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

Kanye West is a reality; not a cliche!

Kanye West , Fergie and John Legend are scheduled to perform for an upcoming VH1 broadcast that's part of this year's Super Bowl festivities. The performance will be called "The Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash" and is scheduled to take place on February 1st in Miami at the NFL Experience, a venue set adjacent to Dolphin Stadium.
