E! Online is reporting that the monster of a flick, "Cloverfield," drew record crowds for a January movie release by taking in $46.1 million over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The film stars Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, T.J. Miller, and Michael Stahl-David as they "document" an attack on New York City by a giant unknown creature. full story

I'd suggest that you make the move to get ready if you're not because Touchstone is poised to release the sequel to 2006's "Step Up" this February. The movie grossed over $27 million dollars on its first full day of cinema showings and looks to give the box office a boost well into the weekend.
