E! Online is reporting that the monster of a flick, "Cloverfield," drew record crowds for a January movie release by taking in $46.1 million over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The film stars Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, T.J. Miller, and Michael Stahl-David as they "document" an attack on New York City by a giant unknown creature. full story

I'd suggest that you make the move to get ready if you're not because Touchstone is poised to release the sequel to 2006's "Step Up" this February. Entitled "Step Up 2 the Streets," the film's cast includes Cassie Ventura, Robert Hoffman, and Briana Evigan. The newly released Transformers movie starring Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf set a box office record for a tuesday release this holiday week. The movie grossed over $27 million dollars on its first full day of cinema showings and looks to give the box office a boost well into the weekend. BuddyTV.com has an interesting article already posted about the easter eggs in last night's 'return' episode of LOST on ABC. I caught half of the Lost 'primer' episode and all of the season premiere last night and I have to say that it was pretty good. If it's any indication of what this season will be like then I'd say we'll have a lot of revealing plots to look forward to. full story
